Parking available in 79650 Schopfheim-Raitbach at the Raitbach festival hall (coming from Raitbach on the K6339, turn right in the Scheuermatt district - signposted Wanderparkplatz). Footpath to the ruins: Back onto the K6339, approx. 100 m along the road towards Raitbach, then right onto a dirt track, follow the dirt track for approx. 400 m, at the yellow diamond hiking sign turn left onto a path, follow the path along the ridge of the mountain spur to the castle moat. From there a very steep ascent to the ruins.

From Hausen-Raitbach railway station, follow the hiking trail to Raitbach. In the upper village of Raitbach, continue on the hiking trail towards Schweigmatt along the Krebsbach creek. The hiking trail leads through the castle moat. From there, a very steep ascent to the ruins.
